So I started watching this as a big fan of the original film; one of my favourite films. For about the first ten minutes I hated it. And initially I thought it was just Political Correctness gone wrong to change the physical nature of the original bandits. But then I stopped comparing and started to appreciate this for what it is.
It's a modern take on an old tale, but is well made, with some great characters, and a few genuine 'laugh out loud' funny moments. I've just watch the first two episodes and can honestly say I'm really enjoying it.
The young lad playing Kevin is brilliant and, despite what a few other reviews have said, Lisa Kudrow has a really great character too.

Firstly, I'm a massive TP fan and felt let down when I first saw the casting.
It was just wrong!
Before I watched it I argued that the diversity and inclusion brigade had got their hands on this and changed the characters beyond repair.
But do you know what? I really enjoyed it.
There were enough snippets from the books to keep it discworldy whilst at the same time being fresh.
I even found myself buying into the character of the completely mis-cast Lady Sybil during the very first episode.
I think Terry Pratchett would have appreciated what they did with his stories.

Firstly - I'm really enjoying this program.
If only they'd made it as a stand alone program without the Star Trek affiliation.
The characters are developing. Loving the starship.
But it's not Star Trek. This timeline's all wrong and the Klingons just aren't.
