After a couple of not so great sequals I didn't know what to expect. But wow! What a comeback! Final Destination has been reinvented with a refreshingly new storyline. It is clear to me that the makers of this one really loves the franchise and everything they could to bring it back to life. Thank you for that!
The new storyline or should I say blondine was good and it does follow the logic of the original one. The deaths were brilliant and fun bloody fun to watch, however wrong that sounds! The script was good and the jokes were actually working. The irony also.
At first I felt Tony Todds last lines were out of character! But when I read about why, I realized that it was a really, really nice gesture from the the writers to let him say goodbye to the fans. RIP Tony Todd.

Paradise is a city built into a mountain, where only selected citizens-such as politicians, scientists, billionaires, and even murderers-have been allowed to live after Earth was struck by a massive natural disaster followed by a nuclear war. In Paradise, the president is murdered, triggering an investigation that uncovers various revelations. I wouldn't call them surprises, though, because I feel like I've seen it all before. The story closely resembles that of the series Silo.
For me, Paradise is a series without major surprises, and to be honest, I also find it a bit too understated at times-in the sense that I miss something actually happening. The pace remains the same throughout the series, and season 1 ends like many other shows, but without an interesting cliffhanger.
Paradise is far from the best series I've watched, and season 2 is only worth watching if there's nothing else to choose from-when it eventually releases.

I join the chorus in recognizing this outstanding series as one of the best Danish TV productions ever made. The current 7,7 rating doesn't do it justice. It should have a minimumrating of 8,1. The series is a well-told and well-executed socio-drama about the lives of several people before and after a senseless terrorist attack takes place in Copenhagen. It explores themes such as politics, homelessness, drug addiction, racism, defamation, loneliness, love, and much more. The series also seeks to show how people cope with their traumas in different ways and the consequences their coping mechanisms can have on those around them.
