The Dark: Great Deceiver is a TV show that tries to be a dystopian thriller but ends up being a mess of bad acting, poor writing, and cheesy special effects. The concept of Christians fighting against evil during the Tribulation could have been interesting, but it's executed so poorly that it's hard to take seriously. The characters are one-dimensional and the plot is clichéd, making it difficult to stay invested in the story. The filmography is amateurish, with awkward camera angles and low-quality lighting. Overall, The Dark: Great Deceiver is a forgettable show that doesn't offer much in terms of entertainment or thought-provoking commentary.
Well, if you appreciated my title 'poem' you may think this video mash up is wonderful - because you project wonder on that which you don't understand. I think that is the only explanation for this "Arty-farty" thing which keeps changing what it is. I suspect that there is a worthwhile documentary in there, but it is mashed up with so much - I hesitate to call it "Science fiction" (That is what is claimed)- tand random Autralian outback footage, that the whole is less than the sum of it's parts. And it's primary fault: After 30 minutes, I didn't care anymore, I was given nothing to care about. So, you may subtract from my review that I did not watch it all, as I judged it as not worth the effort.
Compulsory viewing for film students! So that they can see how not to make a movie. I feel sorry for whoever made this, but they should really watch a few more movies before making their own, and you know, take some notes? To be fair, I could not watch more than the first 15 minutes of this, and hey, perhaps it morphed into the best movie ever made! But I will never know because 15 mins was more than I could stomach.
From what I saw they probably made every mistake possible, because lord knows I saw enough in that 15 minutes. They took the sage advice "Show don't tell" and made it a bad thing, by telling (a voiceover) and showing visuals of what the voiceover was describing. And I could go on, but I will leave it there. If you have not seen it, leave it there too!
