I just watched The Way and honestly, it left me with a warm, feel-good kind of vibe. It's definitely not a fast-paced film, but that slow rhythm actually works in its favor. It lets you settle into the journey and really feel the emotional weight of what Martin Sheen's character is going through. The whole idea of walking the Camino after losing his son hit me hard, and it made me think about grief, healing, and how people process pain differently. The film doesn't try too hard to be deep-it just lets the story unfold naturally, which I appreciated.

The acting was solid across the board. Martin Sheen carried the film with such subtlety, and the supporting cast added some fun and heart to the trip. There's something peaceful about the whole thing, like a quiet reminder to slow down and just be present. Sure, at times it felt a bit stretched, but by the end, I was glad I stuck with it. It's one of those movies that stays with you after the credits roll-not in a big dramatic way, but in a soft, thoughtful kind of way.

I watched The Monkey (2025) thinking it would be something fun or at least creepy, but honestly, it just felt stupid and boring.

The whole cursed toy monkey idea started off interesting, but then it just kept repeating the same thing over and over-wind the monkey, someone dies in a ridiculous way, cue dramatic music.

After the third or fourth death, I stopped caring. None of the characters really stood out either, and I found it hard to connect with anyone. The emotional stuff between the brothers felt forced and didn't hit me at all.

The ending was especially disappointing. They tried to get deep with that "pale rider" symbolism and death being inevitable and all, but it felt unearned-like they were trying to slap on meaning at the last minute. I get that it was supposed to be a mix of horror and dark comedy, but it didn't land for me. The monkey wasn't scary, the deaths weren't shocking after a point, and the whole movie just dragged. If this is supposed to be a tribute to Stephen King, it didn't work for me at all.

At times, it honestly felt like we're not that far from this kind of reality-like this might just be the new normal waiting around the corner. Definitely a hidden gem-I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good story.
