This Taiwanese BL series still has a connection to another one about artificial intelligence called "Anti Reset". In this series, the main lead is a robot called Ever 4, while the one in "Anti Reset" is Ever 9. As you can already imagine, it's another human-robot love story. The plot is pretty much the same with "Anti Reset", except this time the robot is the top. In my personal opinion, this one isn't as dull as it's predecessor. But after the conflict was resolved, there was nothing left for the story to tell to the audience. It can be done with 11 episodes, but the writer stretched it into 12 episodes for some unknown reasons. So if you don't like prolonged lovey-dovey scenes, just skip the last episode. There are more spicy scenes in this one than in "Anti Reset", so I guess fujoshi's will love this one more.
I wonder how this BL series got passed the censorship department in China. Usually the government won't let anything BL off the hook. But, whatever! This tragedy romance BL series tells a story about two souls who are destined to meet, Shen Nan & Shi Wen. But if they engaged in any kind of romantic relationship, then Shi Wen will die. It wasn't explained why or how such a curse would fall on both of them. That's why I think that it's very perplexing and annoying. Also it wasn't explained how Shen Nan ended up with a necklace which can turn back time after Shi Wen's death. Another factor that annoyed me even further. But aside from those 2 factors, this series was made pretty well. The couple has insane chemistry together. Both of them were in another BL series called "Meet You At The Blossom". In which they played two very different characters.
This is a Thai remake of Japan's "Ossan's Love" from 2018. I haven't watched the original, yet. So I can't make any comparison between this one and the original. I'm just gonna review it as a separate series instead. This rom-com BL series felt like a sit-com which is forced to be in a different format. I think it would fare better as a sit-com. Cause the plot seemed more suitable for a sit-com. They're using Earth-Mix as the couple of this series, a famous couple among BL fans. They've played in many BL series together as a couple. Their chemistry is undeniable. I guess after all these years working together, it would be weird if they don't have a great chemistry. The plot is ridiculously hilarious, pure comedy. I think that that's the strongest point of this series. It doesn't have any steamy NC scenes, but has a good ending.
