Note de WoodLyn
If watching this episode, and others, you find it old fashioned, remember that you are comparing it to today's standards. We should strive to judge it based on the standards of the 60's. Twilight Zone was a spark that lit the flames of science fiction on television and opened the genre to many who had not considered sci-fi a serious means to exaim the norms of their day.
It should be celebrated, not demeaned.
The tribute to Stab Lee at the beginning of the movie was the only thing worth seeing. Too bad they didn't show the same artistic effort in the movie.
The first minutes are so dark, you don't know who or what is happening. When the lights come on, the acting is so borish, you'll want them to turn them off so you can go to skeep.
BUT, since this is an origin story, fans of the Marvel universe will have to bear through it to know who Captain Marvel is when she shows up in future storues.
At first the movie was moving along with a 7 or 8 rating with nothing of interest really happening on screen; the dwarfs came on. It was immediately noticeable that the roles of the major characters were not being played by LP's (Little People) but by actors of normal build through the "black" magic of cinema. Before you put off this criticism as over the top, consider the uproar if a movie had four or five major parts that should be African-American was being played by Whites in black-face! This movie does not meet even minimal standards of respectfulness. Don't see this slap to the face of people who are still fighting for complete acceptance in society. The only reason I gave it a 1, is there is no way to give it a 0.
