It took me many years to watch "Kung Fu Hustle", which is a great example of how something fun, with a touch of slapstick, can be well made. Almost like a live-action anime, the 2004 Chinese film is impressively well-directed and acted, with visual and practical effects that still hold up today - for the most part, at least - and a script that, although cliché, is very entertaining and conveniently violent, which enhances its comedic tone that moves between morbid slapstick and over-the-top humor. I loved the movie and had a great time watching it. The Brazilian dubbing adds even more of a nonsense vibe and makes everything funnier. A great production that, although silly, is lighthearted and cozy, and delivers some awesome fight scenes. 7.5/10.

"Juror No. 2" isn't innovative in anything it sets out to do, but it does the obvious well. It's a courtroom drama with several moral discussions, strongly rooted in the classic and incredible "12 Angry Men" from 1957. The new film by the undeniable artist Clint Eastwood deserved more recognition. The film may not be amazing, but it's better than most of the productions released this year. It's worth a watch and an appreciation of its plot, which is well done and presents the moral debates effectively - even if its initial sparks burn with a weak flame. Still, the film is good, the cast works, and its open - or not-so-open - ending pleased me. 7.5/10.

Minecraft is meant to be fun, nothing more - and in that, it succeeds. With good references to the game, a functional cast, and solid visual effects, the film makes up for its simplistic script. Although the story includes some differences from the game itself, it works, especially for kids - which is what really matters here. It's exciting and immersive, but it could have been more creative.

I think its obvious sequel could continue to draw crowds to the cinema and be fun for everyone, especially considering all the aspects of the game that are still possible to explore. An interesting point, the touch of horror worked very well, especially the zombies. 6/10.
