saw this at school when I was in the sixth grade ! the entire school was shown the film . after wards we were told to never forget this film ! to remember it as long as we lived , because it could happen ! sadly it's beginning to look like the warning was dead on ! everyone should see shadow on the land ! was well acted well thought out piece ! seems to be unavailable at this time ! would love to see it released on DVD ! would make a good addition to any 60's film collection , and one with relevance to the situation we find ourselves in today ! yes it is political ! but politics plays an important part in todays world . it affects everyone of every race , religion and walk of life !

absolutely one of the foulest , most atrocious things I have ever had the displeasure of watching !I would rather have my eyes gouged out by rabid weasels than have to watch this abomination again ! all copies should be gathered up and burned ! as bad as the original Lugosi Dracula is ( by todays standards ) this thing comes nowhere close ! the crappiest vampire films being produced at this time are better ! at least they don't pretend they are something they aren't ! do not waste money renting this ! do not buy this film ! absolutely do not eat before watching it !( it's so badly done it will make you vomit) ! if you really must see a Dracula film , see an old hammer film ! Christopher lee and jack palance did two of the best Dracula's ever put on film ! I would highly recommend them to anyone !

while it definitely could have been better , it was at least not as bad as Bram Stokers Dracula ! but then few films are !Coppola really muffed that one ! the acting wasn't that great , but the plot was OK and it gave a whole new look to Lycanthropy ! I wouldn't mind seeing a remake done by someone with real skill as a director , and some decent actors !compared to many films that have been produced since the turn of the century , it deserves a much higher rating than it usually gets ! I'd rather watch this again than I would another sequel to , ( I know what you did last summer )! or freddy number forty seven ! enough with the slasher films ! this film at least showed some imagination at work !
