"Kalki 2898 AD" offers a visually stunning and satisfying experience. The film's graphics are top-notch, and the performances are outstanding, particularly from Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. The story shows great potential, though it could have been more expansive. Despite this, the fast-paced narrative keeps you engaged throughout. The film does an excellent job of setting up for its next installment, and I hope it continues to deliver on its promise with even more grandeur and depth. Overall, it's a good movie that leaves you eagerly anticipating the sequel. And wanting a universe to be More developed.
The film embarks on a narrative that is as enigmatic as it is ambitious, intertwining characters whose purposes and paths are not immediately clear. It eschews the typical allure of science fiction, opting instead for a deep dive into the arcane practices of black magic. This choice is bold, but it may not resonate with all audiences.
As for engagement, the film's grip on my attention wavered, firmly capturing it only 40% of the time. The plot's progression felt disjointed at times, leaving me to wonder about the intended message and the ultimate takeaway for the viewers.
The climax did provide some resolution, but it lacked the punch needed to make a lasting impact. It was the end credits, surprisingly, that provided a sense of closure, wrapping up the film with a finesse that was otherwise missing.
In conclusion, while the film stumbles in its execution, it's not without its merits. The exploration of black magic is a path less trodden in cinema, and for that alone, it might be worth a watch for those intrigued by the subject.
