This doco is like Steve's comedy. It's a beautiful, fascinating story about how Steve became who he is today. I'm amazed by his struggles as a performer in the early days and how resilient he was to continue on. Above all, I appreciate how wholesome and uplifting this was... a little like Steve's humour. He doesn't need to dive in to dark places, insult people or get too political. Neither does this doco. I would only recommend this to those who are Steve Martin fans, would like a bit of nostalgia and an insight into who he is. Watching this brought back those feelings of simpler times. I miss those days.
She knows nothing about soccer and Indont know much either but honestly, this was absolutely fantastic. The story unfolds like a movie and is abundant in suspense and emotion. What a wonderful achievement. Beckham is such a likeable guy. What a star.
There is so much footage of Beckham. His relationship with his wife is also beautifully portrayed. Posh comes off looking pretty good if you know nothing about soccer, you will likely enjoy this even more than if you are a soccer fan. It was great how they teased things at the end of the episodes. Hard to stop watching. Would be a great guy to have over for dinner.

It's hard to pigeon hole this show. It's definitely not a comedy although there are some disturbingly funny moments. It's suspenseful, mysterious, and subtly twisted. What makes it so disturbing is how grounded in reality this show is. It kind of explores things that go on that we try not to acknowledge. It's beautiful to watch. It burns slowly but it's very addictive. This show will leave a mark on you, or perhaps a scar. Both seasons are equally excellent. Season one is probably a little funnier and quirkier but Season two is more Emotionally disturbing. It's great when you come across a show like this.
