A poetic homage to an immortal epic for ages retold.
Siegfried the Hero and Hagen the murderer (which is no spoilers, the story was known to us over 900 years).
The battle scenes are epic, the dialogue is a bit shakespearean, hence i can understand that the modern audience (i hate to use the word zoomers so i wont) will find it dull (i loved it: macbeth flashbacks).
I found it refreshing overall.
All classical characters of Nibelungenlied are in the movie and they are loyal to their characters in a range of extend
This one explores the psychological motives behind the characters, their endeavours and the tragic result. (or was is tragic?)

I was really looking forward to this. An era about Vespasian, which i cant recall on tv to be premiered yet on this budget. Anthony Hopkins can carry anything on his back, but there was nothing to carry here, only to drown upon and sink in water.
I enjoyed HBO's Rome and I, Claudius back in the day, as an historical enthusiast i hoped that a show about Vespasian would keep up with the predecessors or surpass it. Sadly, it seems that we are moving backwards in time, historical accuracy is long gone and not to mention the quality of this show.
Imagine watching this and then watching HBO's Rome you would never believe that this was produced 19 years after... I really hope that changes will happen: people will speak up more without the angst of being cancelled and we get one day a show that surpasses the quality of HBO'S Rome and I, Claudius!

Big disappointment, the quality has been on a free-fall past few episodes, i think they had an AI generating script for this episode, so they can present it in future with comments like: hey this episode was fully AI generated and the audience loved it.
I don't think the producers know their audience any-more, next episode they just can make an uprising of the forks against the spoons with nicki minaj in an microscopic dimension...
Yes without Rick and his inhuman intelligence plus nihilism, it just doesn't work. Please go back to the drawing board and watch season 1 to understand the key points why it was successful in the first place.
