I find the one star review of this film to be very unfair. I thought that the story of Jessica hiding in Marcus's house after their one night stand was unusual and intriguing. She was suitably menacing whenever she appeared, and the characters of Marcus and Milia were well-acted and likable if flawed. I enjoyed all the shots of the beautiful mansion and its décor, as well as seeing all the different outfits worn by Milia. I am giving the film 7 stars because it's not Fatal Attraction (but then few films come close to that one), however, the story is interesting and there are sex scenes, violent scenes and and lots to keep you guessing. I was looking for something entertaining but undemanding to watch on a quiet night in and this was enjoyable for me.
I enjoyed this film very much. I was feeling tired and stressed and I wanted to watch something to help me unwind. I found this on My5 and it was just what I was looking for. It is a quick-paced film with a story that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Everything that happens is relevant, every single character is important, and Matreya Scarrwener is great in the leading role.
My husband turned his nose up when he saw me watching a 'Lifetime' style film, but when he came back into the room halfway through he couldn't help staying to watch what was going on. To me, that's a sign that it's a good film.

I was put off from watching Donnie Darko by the reviewers who said that they didn't understand it and the reviewers who explained it scientifically. I assumed that it would be a convoluted bore. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's a quick-paced film with good acting and an intriguing plot which is, nonetheless, easy to follow. In some ways it reminded me of The Butterfly Effect which is a film that I love.
Jake Gyllenhaal is perfect in the role of Donnie and manages to keep you firmly on his side no matter what he does. He is supported by a strong cast with many star-names who bring the script and story to life and manage to make the events believable.
I was into Heavy Metal in the 80s and only liked two mainstream bands, namely Tears for Fears and Echo and the Bunnymen, so the choice of songs by both these bands in the soundtrack delighted me.
Overall it's an entertaining film and as soon as it had finished, I had to watch it all over again!
