I don't know how to start this, so probably best to start with the good things:
1) Loved to see the cast back. Great that they didn't miss out anyone.
2) Tony Shalhoub was impeccable. His timing is still top notch but probably he knows the character better than anyone, so it was given
3) The arc around Monk during COVID was good. Probably my first though at the start of the movie was to see how Monk went through that and for me they nailed it.
On the flip side: 1) The mystery was probably the weakest Mr. Monk has seen throughout his career. I probably guessed it less than 30 minutes into the movie. Sad to see that the team took another hour.
2) Ther is a subpolot around Monk and why this is the last case but I hated it. I can't really bring myself to the thought of Monk thinking about all that. He is supposed to make you smile (I get it this adds the darkness but it doesn't really work with the character).
3) A great hero needs a great villain and this is probably the weakest thing about this movie. None of the villains in the series have been super bad but this was a movie and probably needed a much better antagonist.
4) The support cast doesn't really have anything to do. I loved how the series has so many storylines running in parallel but the movie meh!!! Good that you got them back but make them do something atleast. Let them add some value
5) The background score didn't really help. A thriller needs to get you on the ride and it doesn't help that the BGM was so bland.
6) The part where Monk decodes the pet store was useless. It was totally off the track and added nothing
I can write more but I feel the movie doesn't deserve more of time especially after the 90 minute run time.

I have no cliue what the story was or what the different character arcs were. I mean the only thing worth seeing in the entire show is Divyendu. People like Piyush Mishra and Nigar Khan have no path on the show. The script is wafer thin, the acting is pathetic and if you are hoping to see any moral at the end of the show, I don't think you should dare to see this. Almost all the threads are left unanswered. There is a twist that comes at the end of the show but by then it was like why did you have to make all these episodes if this is what you were aiming for. On the whole, it is disheartening to see a show that wasted producer's money, actor's credibility, and my time.
It is so sad that a topic like the Ram Setu got a movie as flawed as this.
On the whole, everything from the script, actors, direction, has been nothing but a colossal failure. No doubt, the idea was superb but the mere idea of implementing something as exquisite as Ram Setu got the better out of Akshay Kumar and the director. The scenes are so filmy that you end up laughing on serious scenes like the court room diatribe, final fight scene, the jungle hunt.
By the way, while i watch the movie i cant help cringe over the background score which has not relation with the scene and just looks out of place.
