I saw Cirque du Soleil both in Las Vegas and in Montreal and I can only imagine how hard it was to be ready in such a short amount of time. These athletes are world class performers and seeing the behind the scenes was fascinating. I absolutely love seeing these performers and it almost felt like magic seeing the beauty and art in each performance. Covid was horrible and so many people died and have long term effects. Seeing how many of the cast and crew were able to come back was heart warming. I'm not sure I understand the bad review this received. I guess we all experienced Covid in different ways. We are senior citizens and we stayed home for almost 18 months. We didn't get Covid until we had been well vaccinated so our experience was mild. However, we were in pretty good shape before hand and have struggled to regain our physical stamina. These young people are so inspiring! Thank you all for your hard work and the joy you give in in your performances!
This had the makings of a good sci-fi but quickly got too silly to enjoy. The biologist was beyond ridiculous in her hesitancy. I kept expecting it to take off but it never did. I was hoping that between John Galegher Jr., and Chris Messina it would be better but I was really disappointed in the whole endeavor. The screenplay, direction and acting were all terrible. My husband chose this to watch on movie night and I wasn't looking forward to it. I generally trust to the ratingss and reviews so was prepared for a dud and that's what this was. Don't waste your time on this one. So glad I didn't spend money for this movie.
I watched this movie about 2 weeks ago and again today. What an amazing effort by Robin Wright. Her directing and her acting are simply unforgettable. The movie starts off a bit slowly but the cinematography is incredible so it's easy to get lost in the beauty of the film. Demián Bichir's performance is brilliant and understated. The story of a woman her is grief-stricken and lost in despair who goes off to the wilderness to avoid sharing her pain with anyone else. She is lost but it's of her choosing. Demian finds her near death. I won't say more as not to give anything away but this is so worth seeing. Such a beautiful film!
