This was an excellent film about the experience of online anonymity and how the connection one makes with a special some one in this way can be stronger than the traditional way. How long that connection can be sustained is another question. This however, doesn't take away from the fact that such experience will move you. This film does a fantastic job creating a vibe of introspection and transference that happens during online connections. The acting is fabulous, the soundtrack is a journey in itself. The director obviously had a good understanding of such experience and therefore how to bring it all together in a magical way, which is likely to be how one would experience this type of anonymous online connection.
Teenagers dreaming of making it big in the 70s live music industry. Teenagers meeting big producer and given a break, Teenager lead singer (40 years old actor) getting drunk, high, cheating on his wife, cliche, cliche and falling for another member of the band. The acting is disappointing, with an almost 40 year old lead singer pretending to be 20 while all the other members of the band are actually 20. It was hard to watch as the cast made it impossible to be credible. The soundtrack is so disappointing, considering the amazing sound of the 70s, this was not reflected in this series. This is definitely not Fleetwood Mac inspired Drama unless they attempted to make a Vanilla version.
One of the best films I have seen this year 2023. A great example of a film with few words but a million messages through other means. A day in the life of Sarah who has OCD. An Oscar winning performance by Munro, an amazing script that keeps you hooked to this experience from beginning to end. As the day progresses and the protagonist tries to find the energy and optimism to make it another minute, let alone a day, dealing with OCD, I started gasping for air/oxygen to make it through the next scene. Like Sarah, the protagonist, I kept hoping that the obsession and the compulsion would not win. What a fight!
