Saiyaara tries to sell itself as an emotional rollercoaster but ends up being a painfully obvious, unofficial remake of the brilliant Korean film A Moment to Remember. While remakes can be a respectful homage when done with originality, Saiyaara lacks both creativity and soul.
Director Mohit Suri once again takes the shortcut, borrowing heavily from Korean cinema without giving due credit. A quick glance at his filmography shows a troubling pattern, several of his past films also seem to mirror Korean originals. This isn't inspiration; it's replication.
The performances are drenched in over-acting, making even genuinely emotional scenes feel forced and theatrical. What could've been a moving story about love and memory loss turns into a soap opera with loud background scores and exaggerated expressions.
That said, the music is one of the few saving graces. The soundtrack is beautifully composed and emotionally resonant, which sadly stands in stark contrast to the film's lack of originality. The songs might stay with you long after the film ends, even if the story doesn't.
Overall, Saiyaara is not worth a trip to the cinema. It's better suited for a casual watch on platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, or Apple TV, preferably when you're multitasking and not looking for substance. If you've never seen A Moment to Remember, you might find this watchable. But if you have, you'll see right through the copy-paste job.
It's disappointing to see a lack of imagination in a director who has the resources to create original stories but chooses to repackage someone else's work instead. Bollywood deserves better.

I went into The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil with no expectations, just chilling at home with some snacks and Amazon Prime, and man, it blew me away! This Korean flick is pure entertainment-tons of action, a slick plot, and a gangster-cop duo that's just chef's kiss. The gangster's this hulking tough guy, the cop's got that cocky edge, and watching them bounce off each other is half the fun. No clue what was coming next, but it kept me hooked from start to finish. Glad I had no expectations, 'cause this turned my random streaming night into a full-on party! This movie was so much to watch. Highly recommend!
This movie is one of the worst Indian movies of all time! I should specific... it's a Bollywood movie! What's s hocking is that every action sequence has visual effects and they all look so cartoonish! How can such FX be even approved?
This movie is made by Rohit Shetty a known action movie director. To be honest this is his worst direction. Basically this movie was made by the director and the actors to have fun, go on a holiday, act, enjoy and make a movie. They know that they will make an average movie, spend a a hundred crore and the Indian audience will still watch it in the theatres and it will earn them a couple of hundred crores!
There was no need to connect the Ramayan angle to the storyline and all those cheesy one liners were so lame. I think the audience know that these type of movies are just a waste. Good luck wasting your time.
