Great show with great actors. I was pretty hesitant because the old-school style sitcom hasn't been in style for quite a long time so there was a lot of ways it could go wrong... But this actually has made me appreciate what made them so special when done correctly. It feels like a night at the theatre... Over the top physical and silly comedy but also charming.
I like many saw the correlation to Golden Girls, but only in echoes... This show does go its own way. Nathan Lane is the anchor with his incredible timing, physical comedy, and authenticity and I am the first to say I only tried it to see him. But it's hitting it's stride and I look forward to seeing what they do with it next season... If they continue with the very real heart beneath the comedy and we see these characters grow and change, it will be a true trailblazer during these odd times we live in.

The first few episodes were... Hard to watch. But. Starting in that place gives characters places to grow and explore so I decided to wait it out... And I'm glad I did!
This show is equal parts silly yet authentic. As someone from northern Canada, none of the world I see makes much sense to me, but there are very real struggles and achievements and vulnerabilities that we all need a little of in our lives right now.
Maya Rudolph is incredible as she always is... But the supporting cast is also full of characters you just can't help but want to cheer for.
If you're looking for a modern-day fairy tale stacked with cringe and redemption, look no further. Just do yourself a favour and give it three or four episodes before you make up your mind!

When I first started this show, I expected some flashy, funny, post-Marvel style insincerity with some solid battles and cheeky laughs. What I found was so much more... Authentic character studies, the toll of battle, and the greatness of the human beings behind each statistic.
I was surprised to see people disliked the soundtrack because I never found it out-of-place. This choice can be done without purpose (looking at you, Suicide Squad) but it works within the context of the show.
Jack O'Connell does an alright Norn Iron accent (those complaining perhaps think all Irish sound like they're from Dublin...?) and his character is an interesting vessel for sharing the internal feelings and words in a show without a narrator.
Well done to all those involved!
