I'm not like some reviewers here, as I'm not in the business or out to destroy others. I'm simply a person who loves romantic movies. This movie was thoroughly enjoyable and worth watching. Sure, there were corny and predictable parts, but that's fine with me. Overall, it had a great message and was sincere! You have to be cold not to like this movie.
This movie is very religiously centric. Pray, pray, pray. A husband and wife are looking to conceive. Right before Easter weekend, the fertility doctor calls and says they have an appointment available. Overjoyed, the wife tells her husband. He's upset because they are going to leave that afternoon to stay with his family, and he's sick of the doctor's appointments, telling her she needs to prioritize their families. Upset, the wife says she is prioritizing their family by trying to have a baby. So she asks her best friend what to do...PRAY! So she does, and a stranger calls the next day to say he found a watch on the beach with her phone number engraved on it. He asks her to meet him, and she does. Who meets a stranger simply because he found a watch with her phone number on it? It gets worse after that. You get the gist of how this movie goes. I used to love Candace Cameron Bure, but she is over the top now. GAC is, as well.
Call me a grump on this review. If you look at most of my reviews, I'm very generous in my ratings. For many 5.5-star rated movies of this type, I have given 8 or 9 stars. I love Will Kemp, but this movie didn't do him justice. At the movie's beginning, the characters talk about learning ballroom dancing. I expected that the talented Mr. Kemp would show off his dancing skills. Not so! A few little hops and turns were the only dancing that occurred. The sister of Eloise Cavendish was highly annoying, over-the-top, selfish, and immature. As for romance, I just wasn't feeling it. The movie ended so abruptly that I thought a commercial was coming up, and there would be more to the story. Truthfully, I wanted to love this movie, but I wouldn't watch it again. Just a note: Benjamin Ayers was also in the movie but appeared on a golf cart for five seconds and drove away.
