This live action movie has been a long time coming. I loved playing with Transmorpher toys as a kid and watched the Saturday morning cartoon show religiously. I'd drive my parents nuts singing the catch phrase "Transmorphers, robots in the skies" over and over again. I bawled my head off when Optimist Prime died. So, you can imagine how stoked I was as an adult man, pushing forty to discover they were making a Transmorphers live action movie. I was even more excited to discover my local Blockbuster had an advance copy of it BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED IN THE THEATERS! But, after watching it, let me tell you--this movie doesn't live up to the hype! I didn't expect it to follow the plot of the original 1986 cartoon movie, Transmorphers: The Movie, but seriously, I expected to see some familiar characters. I was hoping for some of my favorite Oddobot characters like Honeybee, Chazz, or Ironside. No luck. I thought they would at least have some of the Deceiticons like Sunscreen or Magnadoodle. Also no luck. Now that Hasbro bought Tonka, perhaps the producers of the movie tried to save money by using some of the lesser known Gobot characters? Anyway, if you're a fan of the old Transmorpher toys or cartoons, don't bother with this movie... Oh, what am I saying? I don't care how bad this movie was, TRANSMORPHERS RULE! TRANSMORPHERS, MORE THAN MEETS YOU OR I...
