This is not a XXX-porno but it is hard to describe this movie without using words that will be deleted from a censorship. It is a Ken Russelleque movie about every kind of sexual addiction and this is really funny!!! It is horror with a lot of fun, maybe a little bit to long, but what shells? You will see more than three scenes that you will never forget and the actress is beautiful - ACHTUNG! It is very british but nothing for the society of Merchant/Ivory-fans!!!
If you want to feel a day in the big habour City Hamburg enjoy DIE RATTE.
I just remembered DIE RATTE as a small unsuccessful movie, but there was Thomas Kretschmann who gaves later cool performances in STALINGRAD and STENDAHL SYNDROME - now here becomes a Hollywood-star in Blockbusters like U-751, BLADE2 and THE PIANIST. Now I saw DIE RATTE on a film festival for RATTE-director Klaus Lemke: Kretschmann is brilliant in really cool movie. He plays a f***ed up crook who wants to make a big deal, but his small brothers wants to spend a day with his idol - the journey begins and you meet a lot of beautiful women and bizarre guys in weird situations. Ok, ok the movie is not perfect, the story is a bit to strange, the storyline gets lost sometimes, but you mean that RATTE is authentic - believe me if you saw DIE RATTE you a few centimeter taller then before.
