A witty and fast pace comedy with quite a message about feminism and patriarchy. Great cast, convincing special effects - it's a parody, nothing else. The viewer can feel the fun they had when filming.
Jella Haase is well accompanied by other fun guns like Nora Tschirner or Maria Happel, my nine stars come because in its category this movie is top notch entertainment. And finally, made for a local audience in first place, rather than producing a movie for international releases.
Full of funny details and citing many other genres, it's a ton of fun. Maybe not for young kids, because most dialogue is quite rough.

The story brings together old myths and modern life in a funny yet very British way. Would give it a nine if this nerving female lead character wouldn't behave that stupid with no reason.
The film takes a little to get in pace, but then it follows the good tradition of Dustin Hoffmann in the revenge classic "Straw Dogs". Obviously director Jon Wright must have had this film in mind when doing "Unwelcome".
It's special feature is the lighting which follows the story and makes some outdoor scenes look like filmed on a soundstage. The film sometimes can't keep the story straight, but who cares as along as it's highly entertaining.

How boring can a suspense series be? It's the typical Netflix problem: boring scripts and nerve pulling time stretches with endless dialogs. Whom did they produce the Midnight Club for? No clue.
A bunch of talky teenagers, no clear storyline to follow, bad acting in most characters and anticipation everywhere. Better watching any season of Twilight Zone.
I slept away during each of the three episodes and had to painfully watch them again. The script also packs in some coming of age stuff, also boring confessions of the grown ups not tying up to the plot and - hooray - in episode 2 we encounter a ghost, finally. Or is it once again an imagination of one of the overdone characters? Who cares. 👎
