This film is perfect. It is absolutely stunning visually and conceptually. The execution of the concept is flawless; one of the very best examples of show-don't-tell narration ever put on the screen. It is also very re-watchable: I have now seen it 7 times and am confident I will watch it again & again. And incredible film and an amazing achievement; no other film this year deserved awards and accolades as much as this film does. It doesn't even matter if you start at the beginning; the story telling and art will grab your attention and hold them. I simply cannot say enough good things about this film as every aspect of it is wonderful.

Just an absolutely brilliant film. Wonderful, stylistic art, smooth-as-silk animation, excellent camera work, a great score... this is a true tour de force. So unusual that it will surely put some people off but those that grok are not going to soon forget this. And then to think that one person did this all by themselves; that's simply amazing. I mean, story, script, art, coloring, animation, editing AND the soundtrack for a feature-length film? That's a crazy amount of work. To see it all so beautifully realized is astonishing and encouraging.

And now I'm off to watch his latest film, Flow.

This is bad. Mediocre at best. It has all the emotional depth of The Greatest American Hero with none of the fun. The 2 action sequences I saw were both poorly planned and put together. Most of the cast looks like they're glad for the paycheck but that's about it. Oh, and the sound design is terrible.

I doubt I'll ever watch any more of this; there's just no reason to.
