Note de Greywolf907
This story, based on a snippet of Bram Stokers Dracula features the daftest characters ever, each and every single one of them predictably slaughtered by a nocturnal beast. They have so many options available to them and yet they take the stupidest one each time.
I won't add any spoilers because there are none that can be added, the film is so predictable.
The main character, played by Corey Hawkins is out of his comfort zone as he tackles dreadful dialogue in a not at all very good English accent, while Game of Thrones Liam Cunningham brings some acting skill to the table, he chews up almost every scene he's in trying so hard to not laugh at some of the awful lines he has to say, because he knows in real life no captain would run a ship like he is doing.
This isn't a serious film, this is an almost unwatchable dark and hard to see in places movie, the build up to any suspense is zero, this film might scare you if you are ten.

I stumbled across this series quite by accident and have watched the first two episodes only, but the fact that I bothered to watch the second ep is testament itself to the quality on show, I have no idea what some reviewers expect from a cold war eastern bloc spy drama, lots of super hero's in costumes perhaps or sweary lippy Americans being the best at everything! Who knows, but if you like your spy drama at a sedate pace full of intrigue and suspense then this show should be on your list to watch. The lead actor does a great job as do most of the supporting cast and I genuinely look forward to episode 3 and see where the story takes me!
