Superman - A Spoiler free review
After waiting for so long to see this I was apprehensive and excited at the same time. I think I knew what was coming but didnt want to believe it as I enjoyed Creature Commandos.
The casting looked pretty solid, good acting, lots of DC references to find and identify throughout.
Special effects to show Superman in his glory...what could go wrong you ask?
Well....... James Gunn has taken us down a pretty complicated tour of his idea of the new 52 style Superman in a way I hadn't really imagined possible which does entertain....however a mish mash of concepts follow as if he threw a load of DC characters on a noticeboard and then just threw it in a massive blender and this is what we get.
Zero character building on hardly anyone as they all seem to get one or two full scenes the entire film that hardly make an impact.
Annoying camera angles that see someone's arm and shoulder in parts of shots obscuring the view which happened so frequently it was starting to chafe my eyes.
Mister Terrific appears far too much, so much infact I was starting to think it was his film rather than Superman's.
I never thought I would see a Superman film and think to myself Clark Kent didnt appear enough, so that was a new one on me too.
Casting was pretty decent but Lex Luthor seemed far too young for someone who had been studying Superman for years.
I still believe a man can fly, and David Corenswet did make a decent Superman, but not the best iteration we have seen in my opinion. Perhaps James Gunn is trying to sabotage the new DCU before it even lifts off? Time will tell.
I wanted to love this more than I did, but its a mediocre 6/10 from me.

Hahaha wonderful, loved it, really interesting and different end to a Marvel show! Taking breaking the third wall to another level.
Lots of things going on in this episode but I think the best eps of the season had to be the pilot and episode 8 with Daredevil.
This season has reminded me of the Sensational She Hulk comic run by John Byrne, it matched the humour of those comics, if you've never read them you must check them out as soon as possible.
Tim Roth has been great throughout this season too..... Although Abomination seems to now have a strange fins for ears thing going on...but I'll let that slide.
Here's hoping for Season 2!! Make Mine Marvel! Nuff Said!!
