I was beyond excited when I first heard about this series and when the teasers dropped I just couldn't wait. The start of the show was decent, it had interesting angles and introduction to the new monsters then all of the sudden the story just nose dived right into boredom. Characters just roaming around, they're not discovering any new monsters or fighting them or trying to survive. All 3 main characters stories and backgrounds are total fail. The actors are not too good, the storyline is beyond weak and makes you lose interest rather quickly
. I hope they can improve drastically as the time goes by but I'm sure this is not worth buying Apple TV subscription.
I absolutely loved the first Nun movie. It was fast paced and had many scenes that were genuinely hard to watch due to its nature but what on earth was this Nun 2? Firstly the story was such a slow slugfest, it never really mounts onto anything. The characters weren't really thought out and as an audience I completely felt uninvested. The acting of most actors were so terrible that it felt like a cheesy SciFi budget horror movie. Although the main two actors did phenomenal in the first movie but the story and screenplay was so bad in this one that even they couldn't carry this movie. And it was so stupid on how they briefly mention that the Priest from the first movie has just randomly passed away and no one seems to be surprised or wants to investigate, he was such a good actor and his character was so compelling in the first movie.
It was really hard to imagine this sequel tied to Conjuring series. I really really hope they don't make anymore of these Nun sequels. I'm going to pretend the first movie was the main Nun story. Overall this sequel belongs in trash bin unfortunately.

Let's start with the positives:
Negatives:
-Why did this need 70MM IMAX cameras? 95% of this movie is person to person dialogues in a normal room setting. There's no action sequence of any kind. Only one small explosion scene that lasts like 30 seconds tops. So why is Nolan making all the fuss about taking up all of the IMAX screens. Personally I feel IMAX should've remained for Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning. It was a faaar superior movie for IMAX than this.
Overall, you can wait to stream it when it comes out or can skip it. Not much you're missing out.
- Main Cast was great - Cillian, Emily, Matt, RDJ were absolutely great and it was good to see Josh Hartnett who is a very under rated actor.
- Good screenplay, dialogues, sets of of 1940s.
Negatives:
- Absolute slugfest of a story. Hard to believe this was a Nolan's movie. It's waaay too overhyped because of his name. Personally I think he has lost that touch. The story kept flip flopping from characters personal life to the main project then into 2 different hearings at two different timelines. There were no indications of the timelines at all, you just keep floating around in different timelines where all of them look the same pretty much. So it was confusing to keep up. It doesn't talk about the World War in proper context. Doesn't show anything on Hiroshima, just a few mentions of it and that's pretty much it.

- I dare you to imagine this movie being exactly the same but take out Nolan's name. It would definitely not do well at the box office. It's definitely feels overrated and would've been better in a documentary instead of a full fledged "IMAX 70MM" film. Ridiculous.
Overall, you can wait to stream it when it comes out or can skip it. Not much you're missing out.
