I don't know why a lot of people are complaining about this movie. I really liked it and more to the point my 6 year old nephew saw it and loved it. (He is a big General Grievous fan!) I am a girl (obviously) and I loved Episodes II and III because of the love story. I hated Episode I because of the long and boring pod race and Jar Jar Binks. I also really liked Episodes 4-6, the original trilogy even though I didn't see them until I was in junior high school because I didn't want to be a geek like my brother. Anyway, back to the movie, I loved the guy who played Chancellor Palpatine, he was the best actor in the whole thing and Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor were good. I think that people should just lighten up about this movie and find another hobby if it bothers them too much.
I actually fell asleep as I was watching this movie. That is how bad it is. I am not against all LDS movies and books but most of them like this are either sappy or unbearably cheesy. The only LDS film I will ever recommend is God's Army, the rest of them like this and the Singles Ward, Charly, Out of Step, I will never see again.
I am a big Jane Austen fan and I am a big fan of the A&E miniseries and so my boyfriend took me to see this. It was a big waste of our time. I thought that Elizabeth was RUDE and why anyone liked her I will never know. Why do filmmakers have to ruin a potentially good movie by making the characters LDS? We walked out on this movie halfway through and rented Bridget Jones's Diary which is a better modern day adaptation than this piece of trash.
