I was really disappointed. Poor pacing, no story to speak of and scenes lifted wholesale from better movies. The high point was bring back the guy from the first movie. Ving Rhames was good, but Pom Klemontief and Hayley Atwood were nothing more than eye candy. Even the action sequences were not up to par. The dogfight at the end was done so much better in "The Great Waldo Pepper".
There were calls out to "The Abyss" and "Doctor Strangelove" - poor call outs at that Typically, I am critical of editing, but the best editing ever could not save this hack job of a script.
Also, the scale of the naval vessels was all wrong. Either grossly big or far too small.

In the next season, for the love of God, don't whisper so much. It's not interesting and does not project intensity. It's just lazy writing, directing and act.
This show was so good now the writing is weak and trying overly hard to be politically correct.
The show has gotten lazy and self righteous.
