"Sukhee" and "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" both revolve around the central theme of revisiting the past and redefining oneself. In both movies, the main characters attend their high school reunions, which act as catalysts for self-discovery and transformation. Sukhee, a housewife, and Romy and Michele, long-time friends, confront their pasts and the dissatisfaction with their current lives during these reunions. The experiences at these reunions allow them to rediscover aspects of themselves that were lost or forgotten over time, leading to significant personal growth and change. While Sukhee's journey is more about rediscovering her individuality beyond her roles as a wife and mother, Romy and Michele's adventure focuses on confronting their insecurities and the desire to impress others. Both stories highlight the impact of reconnecting with one's past and the importance of self-acceptance.
The movie presents a compelling and thought-provoking narrative, clearly illustrating how the US government's actions in Libya appeared to be influenced by the interests of ExxonMobil. This depiction raises significant questions about conflicts of interest at the highest levels of government. The involvement of both the CIA and the State Department in these affairs is portrayed in a manner that suggests a deep entanglement with big oil interests. This portrayal inevitably leads one to question the true nature of freedom in the United States when government decisions might be swayed by corporate giants. The film goes further to connect these themes with the events in Benghazi, presenting them as a direct consequence of the government's alignment with ExxonMobil. This perspective not only sheds light on the destabilization of Libya but also invites viewers to reflect on the broader implications of corporate influence in American politics. The movie's exploration of these themes is both bold and unsettling, challenging the audience to reconsider their understanding of political freedom and corporate power in the modern world.
This series is full of scientific misrepresentations and misinformation. For example:
* Throughout the series, they use plastic masks. The speaker's voice too is muffled as a result. Why even use masks at all?
* Peptides aren't suddenly inherited just because they were obtained from a plant for generations.
* Extracting CSF doesn't even require entering the brain, and is mostly safe. It is extracted from the spine. Certainly this procedure won't kill anyone.
As an aside, the series kept dragging on the story at a glacial pace that was too slow to maintain interest. I found myself watching at 1.25x and 1.5x speeds, fast-forwarding as I went along, until I ultimately abandoned the series when I lost interest completely.
