I like this show; there's a good mix of personalities, comedy relief, plots.

The acting is quite good, even if the dialog is not always particularly realistic.

I would like to rate this higher, maybe even 8, but the old Hollywood tropes and insulting logic have crept in and knocked this down a bit. Take someone who can't read due to severe dyslexia, but can become a GBI agent, passing all the required written tests, having read all the manuals and laws, but can barely function in the the administrative part of his job.

That's OK, I could let that pass. I would assume some equal opportunity laws might allow for some help (but I doubt it) to get through the academy.

But the worse things are how they work specifically with the same APD detectives, who all seem to know each other from childhood, or have had other major interactions with each other. The coincidence is even less believable than the dyslexia. But the absolute worst part is how they all routinely work outside of their jurisdiction. GBI may have a wider range, but some episodes even have them outside Georgia. They routinely have APD work way outside their jurisdiction, almost every episode, in fact.

I'm also growing tired of the orphans from foster care baseball bat they keep hitting the viewer with.

I still like this show, I still watch it, I'm just disappointed because of how much better it could have been.

I haven't seen TV this engrossing since Breaking Bad. The gritty, "real" feel of the dark side of superheroes. Even better than Penguin, which is saying something. If you like this genre, no reason you shouldn't love this show.

Brilliantly written, brilliantly acted, I love everything about this show. The depth of the story, the cinematography, the pacing, the quantity and quality of the action... I don't recall the last time I've rated a show this highly.

Props to Disney for continuing one of the brilliant Netflix versions of these characters, and doing it even better. Maybe they could do Iron First some justice.

A show like this has a lot of potential - murder mystery at remote locations, wrapped in a scientific exploration where the stakes are save-the-world high.

Unfortunately, this show squanders the opportunity, giving a slow (no, not "slow burn," just slow) load on nonsense where a bunch of scientific geniuses make the dumbest decisions human beings would make under the circumstances they are facing.

However, it is typical of what passes for entertainment these days. It was enough for me to hang on until the end so that I could get closure. There's a lot of the typical Hollywood tropes, like people standing there all befuddled while a friend or colleague is being murdered, despite having a weapon within easy reach; groups keep splitting up to make it easy for individuals to get picked off.

It's disappointing when considering the potential. Not really recommended, but watchable given the derth of decent content on streaming services these days.
