So they wanted to remake the classic game show Press Your Luck? When I heard about Whammy I was excited and couldn't wait to see what it was about. So I tuned in to see if I could relive my childhood in modern times. My reaction? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!. The board isn't all that bad, but the rest of it has to go. Especially that Double Whammy (Or what ever they call it). Give me a break, if I wanted to see stuff dumped on someones head, I'd write TV Land and demand that they carry reruns of "You Can't Do That On Television" and Super Sloppy Double Dare!! Lets just keep the classic a classic and leave it at that!!!!!! There never will be another Press Your Luck.
I know many are trashing the show because of Steve. But I agree with many of the those who say that Steve made the show what it was.
Granted Steve could be annoying at times. But thats what Steve was all about. Granted it got a little silly as the years past, but I'd watch Family Matters any time over The Nanny.

The Greatest American Hero was and still is one of my childhood favorites. He was simply a blundering super hero who made you laugh. While I didn't understand much about ratings back then, I do believe this show was never given a fair chance. I guess in some respects it had a cult following and it was that following that kept it going. I think if there was a list of 50 great shows that never made, this would have to be included.
