I absolutely love the way this film unfolds, especially the beginning before the title is shown. The dread and foreboding starts to creep up almost immediately and I felt on edge for most of the movie. I had no idea this was from the same director of Caveat until I caught a brief glimpse of a slightly creepy toy rabbit in the background of a scene which made me immediately look up the director. I did not care for Caveat and when I realized this was the same director I suddenly dropped my expectations and thought for sure I'd be disappointed. And while I feel like the movie loses a bit of steam it still provided exactly what I look for in a horror movie. There are only about 2 or 3 jump scares and the rest of the fright is built off of the atmosphere and sounds, and the minor but effective things that were creepy. This is my favorite way to feel fear in a movie, not by just being startled. There isn't a whole lot of depth to the characters but I still cared for the ones that mattered.
The budget seems to be a little low but that didn't affect the quality of the movie. All in all I felt like this was a decent creepy flick and much better than Caveat. I actually look forward to the next project from Damian Mc Carthy.

I was not expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did. My only complaint is it felt a little underdeveloped and too short.
First of all the acting and dialogue is so natural that you forget you're watching a movie. The conversations, body language, and reactions felt so realistic. You'd think with the premise of this movie it would feel different, but really it was done fantastically well.
I'm in my early 30s and I felt that pang of nostalgia throughout the whole thing, the way you feel when you remember what it was like to be 18 and your whole life is waiting to unfold. I really cared for the characters and I just had genuine fun watching how things played out. There wasn't a single moment I was bored or felt like my interest was fading.
That being said, it's a shame how quick this movie felt and the ending seemed to arrive too soon. I feel like there could've been more added to the story and I was expecting more conflict, although maybe I'm just used to formulaic Hollywood films.
All in all this was a pretty decent flick and it made me laugh and cry. It's been too long since I've watched a movie that felt like an enjoyable experience and I'm pleasantly surprised that this was the one to break that streak. I'm happy I gave it a shot and my expectations were definitely exceeded. Recommended for sure.

If you want to listen to the most annoyingly vapid female character say "oh my god" 800 times for an hour then this movie is for you. Is it supposed to be satirical? Yes. Is it meant to poke fun at Gen Z and their tendency to be self important? Also yes. Was I expecting a great movie? Absolutely not, I thought it was just going to be a mildly entertaining slasher flick to pass the time. But this is an hour and a half of irritating characters being their irritating selves with no payoff whatsoever. The director said she was excited to have powerful female characters... um... where? This was the opposite and there was no one to root for. Also there are so many unanswered questions and things that seem like they're going to reveal something and then they never do. A complete waste of time, although some of the acting was perfectly fine.
