Loved the Percy movies.
Perfect mix of youth, gods and cgi, but this series has to much of the 'kid' factor going on for a sci-fi/fantasy lover of 55 to rate both actors and acting above a 5.
The actors just are'nt old/good enough yet(!), they dont have the face expressions, self felt empathy or at least in my opinion, the power to suck me in as the movies did...
Script is ok, and series could have been so much better with older actors. Looses credibility in my eyes as they are i'm afraid.
Very seldom do I leave comments, but when it comes to destroying a good IP, I guess this is one...
For me it is a must to see because it is Disney, but hopefully they will keep us older Disney fans in mind as well in future endevours.

It is a feel good film that draws from the basics of Black Panther.
Even from the start you can sense that the prince is basically a replica from the marvel universe.... Just without the powers and special effects.
For a a guy loving the marvel universe, this might not sound to good, but I'm also a hopeless romantic, and the movie delivers, in my opininion, on that part.
The parallells between Wakanda and this movie are unmissable if you have seen marvels Black Panther. All the way down to actors behavior and dialog. Again in my opinion. But they do it in a believeable enough way to sell me on the story, so if your gf, like mine, hate the special effects from marvel and just want the love story.... Well then it's a sure hit for you (and your special friend)

To me this started great, but over the 8 episodes there just was to much unneccessary stuff happening. Would have loved this as an English speaking movie remake up to 3 hrs or maybe a mini series.
Rating it 6 due to good nasty content inbetween all the unneccessary stuff. Well worth a look tho for horror fans 👍
