Well, I expected a real bad movie, and was not disappointed:
Various newsreel footage was added, of course not connected to the campaign area.
The entrie movie feels like ideas from famous stuff put into a blender - maybe AI - to generate a very generic plot.
If you watch it: its an example of minimal production costs, without good story or dialog, maybe very good as exercise for film students.
- All CGI shots are included in the trailer, and they are from old videogames.
- An absolut minimum amount of sets was used - Eric Roberts is only in the one "war room".
- There was a lack of extras, so typical troop size is about two or four soldiers.
- External shots with rented equipment are expensive, so close up, interior or the woods
- Anyway, they had one real VW type 82!
- Pathetic speeches
- poor dialogue
- there was some story. Never mind.

Good things first: actors deliver a good performance, lighting and coloring are good, and they try to maximise the effect of the set and props.
Well, the movie is a bit dull, repeating stereotypical story points like so many generic "science fiction" before. The science part is completely disregarded, nothing has to make any sense and only acts as a story device. And for the sake of the limited budget, evyerthing else is done voiceover. Outside shots on locations are done with heavy filtering und wind machines, so you get some SF-vibes.
This is the complete generic storyline without spoilers: Starting in a dystopian setting in an *enclosed space*, with the urgent need to fix some *technostuff* to save *humanity/mankind/earth*. Protagonist(s) has to leave the *enclosed space*, in order to *get spares/reach broken machine/meet important people*, but then runs into unexpected *person/location/devices* that change *mission/emotions/goal/everything*. Of course new protagonists or villains will show up on this hero journey.
Aire is not horrible bad, I see it as a nice try.
Have no fear to miss it out.

Hitchcock is mentioned only in connection to this dud because of a similar visual style: black and white picture (with way too much black). Indoor scenes leave a lot to imagination thanks to minimal lighting, so that is where the "mystery" comes from. Anyway, the frames look good - 3 out of 10.
If you believe there is some story about quantum mechanics, physics, science fiction or a thriller inside: nope. In fact there are fragments of all these topics, but they are hardly connected. To add insult to boredom, a few minutes from the finish line the voice from off-screen narrates main parts and the end of the story - even the writer and director did not have the nerve to finish the story. Roll credits, please.
If you are into art house style films: it is worth a watch, many great shots, visully appealing. If you are into action, SF, thriller, entertainment and supense - avoid it at all costs.
