Don't start watching this series before sleep, because your blood pressure will shoot through the roof due to incredibly dumb characters.
Each of their actions is counter-intuitive and annoying as hell. The series drags on as non-interesting love/family drama with some mental health issues.
Special effects of tsunami and volcano are good, but their on-screen time is too short to make a difference or give you enough satisfaction after such an annoying family drama.
The problem is that you will want to binge it, in anticipation of a bloody tsunami, to get some satisfaction in the end.. so if you are going to watch it, start during the day. If you start in the evening, you will get pissed and disturb your sleep.
That said, I really hope Netflix continues doing apocalyptic/disaster pieces.. as there has been a lack of them in the past few years. But don't do it as series, with stupid drama fillers to drag it on! Just make a movie.
If this was a movie, it would have been much better.

Wow, I am shocked and stunned by the resilience of Lesley!
It shows how important it is to pass down ancestral knowledge at the young age. The girl, herself badly hurt, knew which fruits were edible, had to kill dangerous animals with the stick, and even managed to catch fish with an improvised rod. All while keeping alive 3 other kids including the baby, for 40 days, lost in a jungle. Her feat was simply incredible even by indigenous standards.
The end result is that they got justice by being protected from the family abuser! I hope they thrive in their life going forwards, they've been through so much and deserve all the love in the world.
I am so happy that the searchers did not give up! Their bravery, resilience and toughness were astounding. I am glad that we got to hear some of their life stories as well. They were real and tough, and not like typical documentaries where you would hear same old background stories of american cops with white privileged lives. Their stories are on another level, and I am happy that those brave men were given a platform to tell them. And not just given, they've earned that platform with their incredible feat.
Great documentary, with unexpected layers, twists and turns. The scenery is breathtaking! Highly recommended. I've cried and held my breath throughout. Nice job, Netflix! Please give us more stories like this, jungle rescues, with presenting lives of indigenous people.

I enjoyed the movie from start till the end since it has entertaining value and strong acting.
A lot of effort was made to make the concert look cool, with good songs, nice singing. Even teen girls acted great. I enjoyed that part very much.
Now, there are many over-the-top, hard to believe things happening, but the idea is very original and it never gets boring. Josh played his part tremendously well and the girl was cute too.
Singer is better at singing than acting, but has managed to pull off her part fairly well.
Overall, watch this movie if you need something interesting that keeps attention well. I watched it with someone who has ADHD and even that person didn't bat an eyelid while watching.
7/10.
