Okay, this review aims to be as objective as possible, so anyone considering watching the show can decide whether it's worth their time.
Let me start by highlighting what I genuinely liked:
1) The storyline is very entertaining with a beyond-talented cast, it had a happy ending (almost all characters get the positive or negative outcome they deserve), heart-touching romantic moments (non-physical), and attention-grabbing events and scenes that keep you hooked (you're unlikely to get easily bored).
2) Compared to other Turkish series, this one excels in creating dynamic and compelling characters. Even the side characters (those who typically fade into the background) evoke strong feelings in you. You'll find yourself in a rollercoaster of emotions. I liked how you get to love, hate, be bothered, be mad, etc. At every character. They're not one-dimensional, which is great because they feel real. We got to see them happy, sad, angry, revengeful, etc.
3) All the main side characters have their own storylines, something that eliminates the boredom that many Turkish series fail to avoid. We know that the leading characters won't be on screen all the time, so when the main side characters appear, they are actually entertaining to watch. We are following their storyline because, luckily, they are not just there to fill empty space.
4) Regardless of whether you initially see some characters as "good" or "bad," most (if not all) make choices that drive their character development. Their decisions **either shift their entire path (like "good" characters becoming "bad" and vice versa)** OR their decisions **either push them towards a brighter side (if already seen as "good") or pull them deeper into darkness (if already seen as "bad"). They don't remain static throughout the series. This is great because it adds a pinch of unpredictability that works as a plot twist. You're not fully expecting that character's behaviors, attitudes, decisions, etc.
5) Throughout the entire series, you grow alongside Hazan, the protagonist. The story begins with her as a woman defined by her insecurities and past experiences. However, as the narrative unfolds, she gradually matures, finds herself again, and becomes the woman she wants to be. Many people were frustrated and even disappointed by some of her decisions, especially when it came to love, but let me tell you, her romantic journey was always defined by GROWTH. Her choices reflected her personal development, and more mature understanding of love and self-worth.
6) The series is one of the few where the protagonist is not subjected to constant mistreatment by others, including her love interest(s). Sure, there are scenes where she faces humiliation, betrayal and emotional turmoil caused by some characters, but these moments aren't present all the time in her storyline.
7) The protagonist navigates love without enduring endless emotional abuse or toxic dynamics. While she does face some of these unwanted behaviors at certain points in the series, the man who TRULY loves her is not the source of her pain. This is so refreshing because I'm so tired of seeing protagonists being so mistreated by their romantic interests.
8) The "main issue" that caused a lot of unfair criticism for the series and bothered many people was actually handled well. Those who disagree with it likely didn't pay attention to the key moments that determined and supported how the story between the main characters unfolded. The series didn't need to "justify" anything because there was never any wrongdoing. The characters involved in the "issue" at hand did not have their integrity and morality compromised because their decisions and actions were ALWAYS in line with their values and principles.
Now, I will share with you the things that I did not like:
1) Like many Turkish series, this one had several nonsensical events or scenes that were a result of improper plot development.
2) We got a happy ending, yet it could have been better. Although most (if not all) of the characters got a resolution and a closed arc, it felt rushed and lacked depth. Many things were handled too quickly, and (at least) one extra episode was needed to give the audience a deeper glimpse into the characters' lives after some time had passed. It was disappointing that we barely got to see the waited outcome for many of the characters, especially after all the longing built up throughout the episodes. Plus, some characters' screen time was significantly reduced, making it even harder to feel satisfied with the end.
3) The series has problematic relationships between some characters. Additionally, it contains questionable stuff that many viewers might disapprove of. Specifying them would be a spoiler, so all I can say is that if you're sensitive to issues such as big age-gap relationships, moral ambiguity, unethical behaviors, non-consented actions, etc., you might want to proceed with caution.
4) The major plot points that were hyped up across multiple episodes failed to deliver the expected emotional impact. When these long-anticipated events finally unfolded, the payoff was disappointing. The series lost momentum and/or was not able to deliver what it promised.
Final thoughts: My rating is 7 out of 10 because I really enjoyed the series, and the negative aspects did not overshadow all the good things I explained earlier. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a long romantic story, anyone who loves slow-burn relationships, anyone looking for a series with engaging drama, anyone who wants to watch a series with a happy ending, and anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers stories. I watched it for all these reasons and was decently pleased.

I decided to give this series a shot and now that I've watched it, I have mixed feelings.
**What I liked:**
**What ruined the show:**
Final Thoughts: I recommend watching it because it's a good series overall. It has amazing performances, lots of drama, plot twists, memorable moments, dynamic scenes, and Cenk's character made it 100x worth watching!! He was the best.
**What I liked:**
- The storyline is genuinely entertaining.
- Strong lead characters, especially Cemre and Cenk. They add a lot to the story.
- Happy ending (but be mindful it may leave you with a bittersweet feeling because the series should've ended better).
**What ruined the show:**
- Many scenes just didn't make any sense. They were added just to push the plot forward, force a love-storyline, and extend the series.
- The love storyline between the main characters was ruined in so many ways. It doesn't matter who you root for in the Cenk, Nedim, and Cemre love triangle, you will be absolutely unsatisfied with how things unfolded between them.
- Some characters' decisions didn't feel true to their established personalities, so their character development was stunted or reduced.
- Quite a few characters' arcs were unfairly resolved, specially Cenk's (Ozan Dolunay).
Final Thoughts: I recommend watching it because it's a good series overall. It has amazing performances, lots of drama, plot twists, memorable moments, dynamic scenes, and Cenk's character made it 100x worth watching!! He was the best.
