I usually do not comment on films I see, but after seeing the terrible review that was previously posted, I felt it necessary. This film sports a very diverse and interesting cast that make its creative story a breeze to watch. It is fun, interesting, and another great performance by Spader. Sometimes seeming a little amateur in direction, 2 Days delivers entertainment, and a little life lesson to boot if you are interested in that kind of nothing.
Why is this film so underappreciated? Man, everyone has to compare it to Reservior Dogs and Pulp Fiction, and say it doesn't stand up. This film is more expertly and more beautifully directed and filmed than the previous two. Yes, pulp is the best because the story is outrageous, but no one is greatful for the art that Jackie Brown is. It deserves a lot of credit, because it is not a film that can be made easily like the stuff out now. This is a perfect film, to be looked at with awe.
Go has not gotten even half of the praise it deserves. The script is genius and the fast paced directing and cinematography are totally the reason to see something in the theatre rather than video. And this is not just another "oh this is my favorite movie, so it has to be great" reviews, there are facts. The epic Godfather, ranked as the best movie ever created by a human being, is lucky if it goes for 20 minutes without having the sound lose sync with the mouth movement. Not that I'm totally knocking it. And also, everyone says, "oh Go is the son of Pulp Fiction", "a lesser Pulp Fiction", but the fact is the it's structure has much more in common with the other Tarantino great Jackie Brown. Rent this to see what great cinema is.
