Note de raven-11
They think it's all Over follows the same format as other shows of this genre, but, given that it came after "Have I got News for You" and before all the rest, it still is worth watching. This is assisted by the presence of Jonathan Ross. Despite not knowing too much about Sport (perhaps not ideal for a regular on the show- it is a quiz show about sport after all!), Ross injects the show with a sense of humour that is crass, but very witty and is a more than capable replacement for the departed Lee Hurst. Nick Hancock comperes the show with real passion. The viewer can tell that he loves the idea, and loves his job. Rory McGrath is the token fat guy, and, while he can be funny, matches neither Ross nor Hancock. The straight guys are Gary Lineker and David Gower. They were both ex-sportsmen, playing football and cricket respectively. Both are capable of saying some hilarious lines, but they are not as quick-witted as the others, and are basically there to have the p**s taken out of them. It's not hard hitting political satire, but "They think it's all Over" is, at its best, a very diverting and amusing way to waste half an hour of your life. I would have to recommend it to Sports fans, and people with a sense of humour everywhere.
