I gave it a 10 because I want to boost the rating so we get a second season!
The set and costumes will transport you to Rome, the acting is pretty damn good, but the writing is not the greatest. The writers underestimate their target audience and think we are stupid. The my add these little annoying subtle reminders about things that are obvious if you pay attention.
Iwan Rheon (Tenex) and Tom Hughes (Titus) carry the show, but I feel that Iwan's character is too similar to Ramsay Snow (Game of Thrones). Tenex is like a watered down version Ramsay, minus the masochism (at least so far). The writers did Iwan a disservice, as I am sure he could have played a character with so much more depth and humanity, showing us a side of him we didn't see in Game of Thrones.
Some of the story lines are annoying and a waste of our time. This is what happens when a writer writes for the money and not the art. They try to appeal to the masses and fail miserably.
Jojo Macari's character, Domitian, is written to be absolutely evil, with very little personality besides being a meanie-face to everybody. Jojo's acting is phenomenal, which makes me feel bad that he had such a crappy script to follow.
If the writers look at these reviews, perhaps they will realize that their audience is not stupid. I love shows and movies that depict a time and place I can only dream of, like ancient Rome and ancient Greece. I'm a sucker for anything sword and sandal, and so here we are.
I want a second season because the set, costumes and acting deserve a second chance. I saw some interviews with the creators, and it seems that they are receptive to criticism, so let's hope they hire some new writers!
TLDR: Worth a watch for Iwan Rheon (Tenex) and Tom Hughes (Titus). The costumes and set are stunning and transport you to Rome. Not the best writing, but I am hopeful there will be a second season with new writers.

If you went in expecting to see a typical slasher horror movie, you were most likely disappointed. This is not your typical slasher horror film....not even close...it's much more gory, disgusting, morbid, violent, and down right TERRIFYING...and that's the whole point.
The director/writer broke all the rules of horror for each of these films. It has elements of the genre that are then ripped into shreds like a victim of Art of the Clown. He broke all the rules in first one, broke all the rules and some in the second, and then broke all of his own rules in the third. He is pushing these films to the limit, and those of us who understand what he is doing, LOVE IT!
I get that people may not see this as horror, but rather a grotesque monstrosity. But to us fans, the horror is real. The body horror, the slashing, the Gothic undertone, the scary camera angles, all the makings of a varsity horror movie in one big orgy.
I have never been a slasher fan. I think slasher movies are boring and always have the same formula (aside from Scream, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Wolf Creek, Saw? ). Terrifier 1-3 took that formula and made a new concoction.
May the 4th be with you!

I am a HUGE fan of ASOIF, both the books and the shows (well, GoT season 1-4). People are saying this episode is just filler, but I 100% disagree. HoD and GoT have this uncanny ability to portray patience. It takes it time, and slowly builds up, with meaningful scenes in-between that prepare us for new archs.
If the show was nothing but violence and gore, these reviewers would complain that it focuses too much on fighting or dragon flying.
Once you realize that the show is very patient, you can tell there is going to be a big pay off. This episode was phenomenal and next week is going to be even better!
