Note de Neha-Shree
Based on Dutch series 'Penoza' that released and rose to fame in 2010, the tone, treatment and execution of its Hindi counterpart is fabulous. Aarya stays on course, slick, unpredictable and enjoyable. I was eager to know what's going to happen next, and that's straight away a win. Recommended.
I liked it, a concept of horror I haven't seen before. The whole room by room torture I've seen many times (SAW franchise) but the idea of something fun like an escape room turning into a life or death situation is terrifying. Overall it's a pretty good horror film, which surprisingly didn't have bad acting. I would recommend.
With a story that was different from your typical demonic possessed child, it held a lot of promise. The problem is that it wasn't delivered. Short build ups to even shorter lived jump scares and a ton of plot holes leaves you just wanting it over with. Infuriatingly predictable with many moments leaving you wondering why these people couldn't just use their common sense instead of plundering through miles (no pun intended) of stupidity just force the plot to continue. Another potentially great story squandered.
