The Sleeping Car, in my opinion, is a movie that has been left under the rug for too long. After watching I can say that I was definitely left quite entertained and satisfied. (No pun intended, given the amount of sex / sexual jokes in this film.)
This film has a semi-well known cast, with the most notable being David Naughton of American Werewolf in London fame (and also Steel & Lace), Kevin McCarthy, Jeff Conaway, and special effects legend John Carl Buechler as the creepy Mister character.
While there aren't many gory scenes in this movie, they are still quite creepy and well played out, and the cheesey but still entertaining dialogue makes up for any of the gaps left. Pair this with romance, intrigue, and the dark world of the paranormal, and you have a pretty fairly sturdy horror package, especially with the very interesting ending.
Overall this was quite a fun watch, and I'll have to rate The Sleeping Car an 8 out of 10m.

People these days like to trash on most modern action movies, and for good reason, but in my opinion, Life After Fighting is one of those diamonds in the rough that can prove modernity isn't always something negative when it comes to the action genre.
Giving this a 9 for the mostly straightforward plot and very, very impressive and exciting action scenes. If you are a combat nut like me, then you'll absolutely love this movie. I myself have not had many great experiences with lower budget works like this one, but what makes this different from the others is the choreographic flavor and hard hitting action that other films lack.

In the world of anime originals, Juuni Taisen is one that will be one of my many all time favorites in my binging collection. Despite being more story-based as opposed to focusing heavily on the violence and combat, I feel like the writers did a great job meshing these both together into an emotional, but also hard hitting thriller that doesn't fail to keep viewers hooked. It's also fascinating looking into how the story focuses on considerably more modern problems and ideologies, like the horrors of war, and what peace means to the world. Pair this with a great voice acting cast and even better animation, and all in all, you have a perfect original.
