I watched this with my eight-year old daughter last night. (We are getting through all six Home Alone installments this season.) I did prepare her for the worst and even explained we would watch it at 1.25x since it was going to be torture... given the reviews.
It wasn't really that bad. It had a story involving divorce/ separation (which we could relate to) and sure, Kevin wasn't actually "home alone," but he was pretty isolated in that his own father didn't believe him, his soon-to-be step-mom was totally against his existence, and the butler was presumed in on it with the bad guys. Poor kid.
Anyways, we got through it no problem. Some cool booby traps, also kids like to see houses with cool stuff and this had that for sure. Solid 5/10.
On to The Holiday Heist!

I heard about this show during Dana's appearance on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast. It's a really great episode, check it out! This series is so unique and wonderful.
I've always been a Planet of the Apes fan, as I know to be true of Dana Gould to a much greater extend, to be sure. Hanging With Doctor Z works on a bunch of levels... it's zany, it's hilarious, tender at times, and nostalgic to times or the Apes, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, old timey talk shows... it's just a fun ride.
The first season has guested a great mix of celebrity interviewees, many who are having as much fun as the viewer. Rusty and his band are top notch. Never a bad note between them.
Superb execution of a quirky, fun, and fresh show idea.
Bring on season two and thanks for the laughs!

If you're into this kinda stuff. Hypnotic and edgy and insane. You'll be hooked.
