What a fantastic story arc! It needed 2 seasons to fully blossom and complete the scenario that was playing out, but it was so worth it, to be honest.
Hard scifi concepts, philosophical themes and a story that just keeps growing and getting more and more complex, until it reaches full climax towards the end of season 2. Did I foresee where it's going when I started season 1? Hell no! Seemed like an OK-ish graphics teenage drama with some scifi elements, that somehow developed into a full blown Interstellar level story. Certainly a surprise, very glad I stumbled on it and hope word will somehow spread about this gem!

I can't believe what I just watched. The quality of the move is something you would expect from a Colombian telenovela or Xena the Warrior Princess. Absolutely nothing works in this movie - camera is bad, acting is bad, sets are bad, dialogues are bad, script is bad. And when absolutely everything fails, you realise that what really fails in such a project is the overall direction. Ridley Scott used to be a mark of quality. But this is no longer true. Did he add his name to the movie as part of some corporate franchise deal? Or does he approve this super cheesy movie and thinks it's a good continuation of his legacy?
I fully get the idea behind the movie and the importance of showing the story as well as finally getting all the contribution they deserve to the women of the story. BUT, this movie is most certainly not the way to do it. Pretty much everything about the movie is bad - camera work, writing, acting. It feels more like some bad HR video rather than a movie about a forgotten peace of history. Someone tried to swing the pendulum a bit too hard here and came out with a product that is so heavily indoctrinated that it's absolutely unwatchable, at least to audiences outside of the US. Would be interested in the story generally, but it needs to be done properly and this movie is very very far from being done properly.
