This oldschool anime based on Naoki Urasawa's manga blends adventure, mystery, and a bit of philosophy in such a unique way. Following Taichi Keaton, a part-time archaeology teacher and a part-time insurance investigator, is like going on a globetrotting journey filled with intriguing cases and a deep dive into human nature. The animation has a simple, but charming, classic vibe that gives it an old-school feel, while the storytelling is mature and thoughtful. Each episode feels like a mini adventure, tackling everything from historical puzzles to personal dilemmas, and it balances humor with serious themes beautifully. What I really enjoyed is how Keaton's character is multi-dimensional. He's not just a suave detective but also has a backstory that involves his mixed heritage and connection to the past. The side characters are interesting too, adding depth to the story in a typical Urasawa fashion. It's not as deep as Monster or as thrilling as Pluto, but it's still a very good classic detective story.
