I remember Nancy Meyer's What Women Want. Mel Gibson was great and so was the rest of that movie. It flowed nicely.
Out came a ... reboot? A sequal? Anyway, it just comes with a totally different vibe. Pretty much all the good parts from the original worked better in the original. In fact, there were some scenes that were pretty painful to watch. The sex scene? The football catch? At the church?
Jeez!
The protagonist swings between annoying/unlikable and pretty charming.
And I know Tracy Morgan is a big hit in the states, but he just doesn't do it for me.
So instead of a movie that flows nicely, you get an unbalanced mess. Good scenes and bad scenes take turns. Maybe avoid this movie and watch "The Intern" instead. Coincidentally also a Meyers movie.

I gave it nine out of ten, because even though it is not a masterpiece... it is a really great film. The cast is well-chosen and the chemistry between Ben and Jon works nicely. They both play their parts very well. And the humor lands effortlessly, it seems. One could probably nitpick here and there, but sometimes, when you leave the movie theater completely satisfied as I did, you just gotta shut up about it and give the makers of that movie some praise. And, mind you, I am not easily pleased. After going to the movies for almost 30 years, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly movies. I am more often disappointed than pleased. So believe me, when I tell you, The Accountant 2 is good at the very least.
