Captain Marvel is the introduction of a new Hero to the MCU.
If this was released much earlier I'm sure it would be held in more regarded but its had to follow some of the bigger MCU characters.
Its an origin story, again and this may be the problem. Seen so many of how these hero's get their powers and how they deal with them then accept them.
Best part of the movie and best character, to me, was Goose, the cat. For this inclusion I gave it an extra star.
Overall its well made, well acted, with Samuel Jackson coming back to play a younger self, and find out how he lost that eye. We get to see alien worlds and sets up the next storyline going forward for the MCU.

Took a chance on this after seeing some good reviews.
To be fair it starts well with great visuals and great soundtrack. Then that first fight scene falls apart, felt a bit like some pro wrestling when you can tell that the punches don't land.
Nearly gave up on the whole film but I did continue to watch and things did get better thankfully.
Whoever did the music for this film did a fantastic job, I could listen to this on its own.
There was on scene in this that the acting was really bad where the young Viking was talking about revenge but I had to put on the subtitles as I couldn't understand what he was saying, it was some think fake Norwegian accent.
Not all the acting was bad, the main guy was fantastic and the leading lady steals every scene she's in.
I'm sure I saw one of the Vikings with trainers on. If they cared about film making then someone should have spotted that.
