Everybody has the right to their own opinion, but if you're going to make it public you should at least do the minimum research.
Straight is an adaptation of a theather play, so it's supposed to be shot practically the whole story in the same place, Ro's appartment.
The lighting and the creative camera work is really impressive, Marcelo Tobar did a great job making the audience feel as if they were actually watching a theather play and the music is another wise decision.
The plot simple but correctly developed, there are a couple of fun situations that work very well. The cast do a good job.

Rating this new adaptation is not as easy since I enjoyed a couple of episodes, but some others are cringy-bad.
I think the main problem is the different format through which the story is told, since this time it doesn't begin with a police investigation, getting rid of memorable characters, such as Doctor Sofía Capellán, protagonist of the first three seasons. Butterflies don't appear at the moment of the murder either.
On the other hand, this time they develop more complex and interesting topics, such as human trafficking, mental problems and transphobia.
In the first two episodes, the antagonists, played by Luis Felipe Tovar and Arcelia Ramírez respectively, outshine the main characters being two of the best performances by far.
Yalitza Aparicio, Jedet and Catherine Siachoque do a wonderful job as the protagonists of the following three episodes.
Unfortunatelly, I can't say the same of the last three, even though they have a good idea, their execution was not great.
