Note de moofee
I only watched the first three episodes before i gave up, and it was not soon enough for me!
I get it that the main story line is the human reaction to disaster (in this case, and alien attack) and not the technical and scientific details of the attack. Still, a certain level of believability is required or else the background story, i.e. The alien invasion, becomes a detraction. Details such as cars not running in the beginning but later are no longer a problem and flash lights that don't work at first but later they are ok are annoying inconsistencies. Then there is a character who wears a welding mask, which is completely open on the sides and it protects him just as the tight-fitting fireman-type filter equipped mask does.
I gather that the main focus of the story is intended to be on the drama of human behavior during a disaster, but sadly even that aspect of the story is old and overdone without any new and fresh take on the subject. Even if I could overlook the scientific errors, still the remaining story was not strong enough to keep me engaged.

I watched the first few episodes and decided to give up. I can not see how this series got an audience rating of 7.4/10. I've watched well over 15,000 movies since the 1950s (yes, I am old) so I have enough film diversity to be a reasonable judge of cinematic quality. The acting is very bad - it is lifeless. The story moves on very slowly and uses every cliche of the genre. The main characters are poor caricatures of the stereotypes they are meant to represent. Trying to liven up the imagery with occasional shots of crocodiles and tropical snakes does not achieve the intended effect not does it add to the mood. In short, not my cup of tea nor do I see who's it is.
