I was throughly disappointed with Tornado Glory. Having lived in Oklahoma and attended University there, I thought that this documentary would have been on par level with the scientific insight that the University of Oklahoma is known for, particularly in regarding severe weather reason. It wasn't. Instead, it focused on persons who had personality conflicts with one another spliced in with generic storm shots. Not to sound totally cruel, but Uwe Bolls films are known for this type of style, so this is something to consider for Mr. Coles next production. Anyway, the life of storm chasers is not very interesting, after all, they are just people. If this documentary would have channeled that focus in to more of a scientific interest, then it would have been more intriguing rather than tedious and garish.
As someone who has lived in Portland, it was lovely to see the scenes of beautiful Portland in this movie. This, however, is the only indirect positive comment I can give this film.
Actually, I remain neutral to this film because it did not tell me anything that I already didn't know. The one thing that I hated in this film is the video game scene. The association between violent video games and school shootings is absurd. One can play violent video games all they want, and not be tempted to shoot people in some sort of facility. For example, I play FPS games all the time, and yet, I have enough intelligence to know that you can't go out willy-nilly and just kill random people. I think the perpetrators of school shootings are quasi-retarded in their lack of ability to distinguish between reality and fiction, unless they are schizophrenic. I can also attest that the victims of school shootings are not always so innocent. Yes, it is a wasted life but if one keeps pushing someone in the corner, that cornered person will eventually fight back. Animals do this so it is not really surprising.
