Daringly different. So refreshing. And funny. Beautifully animated. It has the makings of a cult classic. I think I will re-watch this many times. I love it!
I woke up this morning with a hangover and decided to watch this film that I had recorded many months ago. What a good decision that turned out to be! It is simply a wonderful movie. It is funny, romantic and inspiring. The less you know about the story the better. I want to read the book now.
The Dutch TV guide gave this the "Film of the Day" title and appropriately so. They also described the main character as a cross between the postmen from "Il Postino" and Bukowski's "Post Office". That description cannot be improved upon. Dark, tense, funny, fresh.
