"I Carry You With Me" is an incredibly beautiful film inspired by the true love story of Ivan Garcia and Gerardo Zabaleta. Originally conceived as a documentary, it masterfully blends documentary and narrative storytelling. The film feels like a cinematic recollection of memories, weaving together intimate documentary footage with scripted scenes that recreate pivotal moments from the couple's past. Director Heidi Ewing and cinematographer Juan Pablo Ramirez did an outstanding job navigating between reality and dramatic recreation while preserving the raw authenticity of Ivan and Gerardo's journey. The result is a deeply moving portrait of love, sacrifice, and identity that transcends traditional filmmaking boundaries, creating a seamless and captivating narrative.
"I don't know if destiny exists but what I do know is that life gives us all a surprise. You are my surprise and I am yours. And we are here. You and me, together, Still dreaming."

Raising Voices is a great series that covers various tough and incredibly important subjects in a gracious way. The eight-part series covers consent, various types of sexual assault/violence, grooming, mental health, suicide, bullying, women's rights, and more.
The storylines and acting are excellent, but what really caught my attention is the cinematography. The camera movements and the way this series is shot are fantastic. I especially love the end of every episode; after the characters walk out of frame, and there's seemingly nothing happening, the scene and the sounds evoke deep emotions. I suppose that's what art is supposed to do.

Station Eleven is incredibly emotional and draws you into the characters more than any other show I've ever watched. The acting is superb, the stories are compelling, and everything about it is excellent.
The narrative weaves seamlessly between the pre- and post-pandemic worlds, offering a rich tapestry of stories that highlight the resilience of the human spirit. At its core, Station Eleven is about the power of art, memory, and human connection in the face of catastrophic loss. The show brilliantly explores themes of survival, the enduring impact of trauma, and the essential nature of community.
It is a meditation on humanity, creativity, and the ties that bind us together, even in the most dire circumstances. The show's emotional depth, coupled with its outstanding performances and beautiful production, makes it a standout piece of television that resonates long after the final episode.
